Replacing 1st Generation Premium Sleeves with 2nd Generation Premium Sleeves on Monday July 20th

Greetings Backer!

This is a very quick update to let you know that we moving forward with the plan to start addressing the issue of the change in Premium Sleeve sizes between the first Kickstarter and future Kickstarters.

Summary:

We changed factories after the first Thunderstone Quest Kickstarter and the sleeves we now produce are slightly smaller than the sleeves made for the first Thunderstone Quest campaign. They can be distinguished by feel when in a deck. If you want to replace sleeves ordered in the first Thunderstone Quest campaign with sleeves in the current size, we are going to enable you to do that. If you don't care, or aren't buying more Thunderstone Quest cards, you can ignore all communication about sleeves.

We are going to put a special item in our online store for these sleeves. On a first-come, first-served basis you can log into the store and order them starting at 9am (Pacific) on Monday July 20th. To facilitate that we recommend that you create an account on the store immediately to speed checkout. The item will not be orderable until 9am on Monday the 20th.

Backers of the first Thunderstone Quest Kickstarter are allowed to order up to 4 packs of sleeves (enough to replace the sleeves you ordered in the first Thunderstone Quest Kickstarter).

Because we expect demand to be high we believe all of these packs will be sold out on Monday. If you want them, be prepared to place your order as soon as we make the item available on Monday morning.

We will make more 2nd Generation sleeves. We will have some available in August/September once we've finished fulfilling the current ("New Horizons") Thunderstone Quest Kickstarter, and we will have a lot more in 2021 after the next production run. This will not be your last opportunity to replace your 1st Generation sleeves.

We are excited to begin a new campaign and to be joining you all again for the next 30+ days of excitement, mystery, adventure and success!

The AEG team will monitor the Comments channel on Kickstarter continuously between the hours of 9am and 6pm (Pacific) Monday through Friday. We’ll be collecting your comments and questions and providing a bulk set of answers twice a day at the beginning and end of each of our coverage times. During the rest of the day we’ll be available if there’s an urgent need for an immediate response.

We’ll be filling out the FAQ with as much detailed information as we can to match the kinds of questions you’re asking and we’d like to invite you to direct backers to the FAQ when they have questions that are answered there.

During this Kickstarter we will be making available the Print & Play version of Barricades Mode, the Solo & CoOp rules. In order to avoid compromising this Comments channel with rules questions and suggestions, we would like to ask you to take those comments to the Thunderstone page on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/Thunderstone-119879821382169) or to the Thunderstone forum on BoardGameGeek (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/215341/thunderstone-ques...). Response to Thunderstone Quest has been phenomenal. It currently has an 8.3 rating on BoardGameGeek. It received three Top 20 placements in the BGG Most Anticipated poll.

Since Rewards from the Kickstarter were delivered around the world we've received a constant stream of questions about how to join the adventure.

We're extremely pleased to announce that Thunderstone Quest is returning to Kickstarter in June. The next Kickstarter will feature the most requested new feature from the first Kickstarter: Solo/Co-Op rules which feature all new ways to defeat the Guardians before they destroy the Village. It will also feature the 6th Quest, What Lies Beneath. And for those who missed the first Kickstarter but are ready to strap on their swords and wands the Champion Reward will return for new Backers as well!

Over the next several weeks we'll be sharing with you more information about the 2nd Kickstarter including the specific date and time it will launch, more details about the Solo / Co-Op system, and new cards from What Lies Beneath.

A few questions we can answer right now:

YES!  Epic Thunderstone will be supported by the new content, and the Epic Add-on for the Champion Reward will be available in the Kickstarter.

YES!  You'll be able to buy more Premium Sleeves to keep your cards protected.

YES!  The Champion Reward will be identical to the Champion Reward in the first Kickstarter.

YES!  We will make the Solo/Co-Op Rules available as a PDF on the Thunderstone Quest website.

We are looking forward to rejoining our friends from the first Kickstarter and adding many new companions in June!

Fulfillment has Begun!

The long-awaited day has arrived! Shipments have begun to flow through the Depots to Backers!

Deliveries Begin February 19th 2018 

WHEN WILL I GET MY ORDER? 

Depending on where you live your order will usually be delivered within a window of approximately 2 weeks beginning on Monday the 19th of February. Due to the variances inherent in shipping its impossible to predict a specific day when a given order will be received. Some backers in Germany have already received their deliveries!

If you are in China, or being serviced from the Chinese Depot (Japan, Malaysia, Viet Nam, the Philippines, but not Australia or New Zealand), your shipment will be delayed due to Chinese New Year. You will begin to receive your shipments in mid-to-late March.

If you are in Australia or New Zealand your shipments may be delayed a week due to the backlog in the Australian Depot. As we get more info we’ll post it on the Thunderstone Page.

Backers in Mexico, Central & South America and Africa, and parts of Europe not in the EU (+ Norway, Lichtenstein and Switzerland) will receive their Rewards as quickly as reasonably possible but we can’t estimate delivery times. These Rewards will ship from the US and EU Depots at the same time as the rest of the Backer shipments but previous experience tells us that delivery will be impossible to predict.

ISSUES WITH ADDRESSES

We can't change addresses on packages in transit. If for any reason you will not be available to receive your package at the address we have on file ensure that your postal service has been properly notified of your new address. Also it is a good idea to speak with whomever will be at that address and ask them to accept the delivery if it arrives.

Because our fulfillment system is comprised of many different companies shipping products to Backers all over the world it's not possible for us to identify which carrier will delivery a specific parcel so we can't provide that information to you. Depending on where you live and who is handling the delivery you may receive a notice from the fulfillment system providing you with delivery information that will be specific to your order that may help.

ISSUES WITH INCORRECT ORDER CONTENTS

If you believe you've been shipped the wrong Rewards please email [email protected]. You can re-verify what your shipment should have included by going to your order on BackerKit (the generic URL for BackerKit for Thunderstone Quest is https://thunderstone-quest.backerkit.com).

We shipped the Adventurer Reward, the Champion Reward, the Premium Sleeves and the Epic Thunderstone Add-On; there are no components of the Kickstarter that have not been released.

ISSUES WITH DAMAGE

If you receive your package in a damaged state please keep all the packing materials - the outer carton, the inner packing materials, and the box itself. Please take pictures of the damage. You can submit a request for replacement to [email protected], along with your photos and we'll evaluate your claim and let you know what we decide with regard to your claim as quickly as possible.

ISSUES WITH LOST OR STOLEN PACKAGES

If you believe your package has been lost or stolen please email [email protected] and we'll work backwards from the fulfillment system to see if we can find the package. If you received a shipping notice please forward that to us along with your claim.

In all correspondence please use the email address that is on file in BackerKit (the Pledge Manager) which will accelerate our ability to assist you.

We are so delighted to bring this game to our Backers we cannot wait to get your feedback. Our team is monitoring various venues for questions and discussion, including the Alderac Facebook Page, the Thunderstone Facebook Page, the Thunderstone BoardGameGeek forums, and /r/boardgames on reddit!

(It's going to be really hard to handle Q&A about the game on the Kickstarter comment thread but we'll do our best. For detailed questions or long discussions it will be best to use one of the other community forums listed above.)

We want to spread the word about how awesome Thunderstone Quest is. When you are ready we would really really appreciate a rating on the BoardGameGeek page for Thunderstone. The higher the BGG score, the more visibility the game will have and the more players we'll attract which will supercharge the Thunderstone community!

EDGE OF DARKNESS KICKSTARTS ON FEBRUARY 20th

Our next Kickstarter launches next Tuesday at noon (Eastern time).
